While reading old forum posts on Okinawa Hai!, I came across a reference to "Trash Beach" near Camp Courtney. So today after we went grocery shopping, we took a little detour on the way home. We followed 224 past the Courtney housing gate, turned left at the sign for Uken Beach (宇堅ビーチ), down the road a little ways and there it was! (Map) We just parked along the road, but it looks like the beach will officially open in April and charge 500 yen for parking.
